The role of the academy council is a strategic one. Its key functions are to set the aims and objectives for the school and targets for school improvement. It monitors and evaluates the school’s progress towards these and is a source of challenge and support to the Headteacher. Joanne Salacinski(Chair, Local Community Governor)
Joanne Salacinski
My Name Is Joanne Salacinski and I was appointed a Parent Governor in June 2017. I am the Chair of the School and Community Development Committee and am the Safeguarding Governor for the school.
I work as a Product Manager for an insurance technology business. I bring commercial understanding and analytical experience to my role as a governor.
I have two sons at Warren Road Primary School and as a Governor I am able to work with the staff and the governing body to help give children a great start to their academic life.

Andy BocchiParent Governor
Andy Bocchi
Andy joined Warren Road Primary School as a co-opted governor in June 2022, bringing a particular focus on the curriculum and Upper Key Stage 2. With over 15 years of experience in education, he currently serves as an Executive Principal overseeing two primary schools within the London Borough of Bromley. Andy is passionate about ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to a high-quality and aspirational curriculum that empowers them to become confident, successful, and lifelong learners. He values the opportunity to work alongside the dedicated staff and governing body at Warren Road and remains committed to supporting the school’s continued excellence.

Amanda Mumford(Local Community Governor)
Amanda Mumford
My name is Amanda Mumford and I was appointed as a Parent Governor in June 2022.
I work in Local Government as a Public Health Programme Lead, with young people's wellbeing a key area of focus within this role. Prior to this I spent over 10 years within a strategic crime reduction partnership countering issues affecting the safety of young people, and risks facing them today.
I have two children at Warren Road school and am very happy to be appointed into this role. I look forward to working with staff and Governors to ensure children at Warren Road continue to thrive and enjoy the very best education.

Paula Reddin(Local Community Governor)
Paula Reddin
My name is Paula Reddin and I am a member appointed governor, having completed a 4-year term as a parent governor. I have focussed on the science curriculum, health and safety and pupil assessment during my time as governor. I currently chair the Teaching and Learning committee.
My professional training is in the health and safety industry, in particular building water services.
While my children were at Warren Road, I was involved with the PTA and volunteered as a parent helper whenever I was able, which helped give me a broad understanding of school life from different perspectives.

Claire McGeehanStaff Governor
Claire McGeehan
Claire McGeehan has been teaching at Warren Road Primary School for the past twelve years and describes her role as both a joy and an honour. She is part of a dedicated, passionate, and hardworking team, all committed to delivering the very best for the children in their care.
As a mother of two boys who also attend the school, Claire brings both a professional and personal perspective to her work. Her dual role as teacher and parent gives her a unique insight into the impact of the school’s efforts, reinforcing her belief in the strength of the school community.
In her capacity as Staff Governor, Claire proudly represents the voices and views of the entire staff team. She is committed to working collaboratively with fellow governors to support, challenge, and shape the strategic direction of the school, always keeping the best interests of the pupils at heart.
Much of Claire’s teaching career has been spent in Year Six, where she finds it a privilege to guide children through such a pivotal stage of their education. Helping them prepare for the next chapter in their academic journey is incredibly rewarding, and she takes great pride in supporting their growth into confident, capable young people.

Nicola Cammies(Staff Community Governor)
Nicola Cammies
Nicola Cammies has served as a Staff Governor at Warren Road for the past three years, bringing valuable insight from her role as a teacher in Upper Key Stage Two. She is deeply committed to representing the views of her colleagues and supporting the school’s strategic direction, helping Warren Road continue to thrive as a leading choice within the local community.
With a strong passion for delivering a broad and balanced high-quality education, Nicola contributes a practical classroom perspective to the Governing Body. Her focus is on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Prior to entering the teaching profession, Nicola spent over 15 years in the private sector, working in corporate communications, issues management, and consumer marketing for major household brands. This experience enriches her strategic thinking and problem-solving as a governor.
Within the school, Nicola leads History and has previously overseen the School Council. She is also actively involved in promoting staff wellbeing and is currently collaborating with the pastoral team to achieve the Wellbeing Award for Schools.
Nicola is dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive environment where both staff and pupils can flourish.

Kirsty Edwardes(Local Community Governor)
Kirsty Edwardes
My name is Kirsty Edwardes, I was appointed as a governor in June 2022 with a focus on SEND and I currently serve on the Teaching, Learning & Achievement Committee.
I work in a specialist provision within Bromley borough for pre-school children with special educational needs and disabilities. I am passionate about ensuring that all children have access to high quality education regardless of any barriers to learning they may have and that every child is given the opportunity to fulfil their own potential.
I have two sons currently at Warren Road in Year 6 who have thrived under the school's care and I look forward to working with the school and governing body to ensure that all pupils receive the very best all-round education.

Guang Yang(Parent Community Governor)
Guang Yang
My name is Guang Yang and I was elected as a parent governor role in March 2020.
I'm originally from China and have stayed in the UK for almost 20 years now. I am a Chartered Accountant by profession and am currently working in an Asset Management company in a governance-related role. My previous experience involves internal and external audit and corporate finance.
I have two kids. I am very keen to be part of my children's education. Coming from a different educational background, I'm eager to understand more about the education system here and hopefully providing some fresh perspectives.

Sara Bandali(Vice-Chair, Local Community Governor)
Sara Bandali
Sara Bandali was elected as a Parent Governor in July 2022. Originally from Canada, she has made the UK her home for the past decade. With over 20 years of experience in global public health, Sara holds a Doctorate in Public Health and has dedicated her career to improving health outcomes for women and children around the world.
She currently serves as the Director of International Engagement at a charity, where she continues to champion inclusive and impactful health initiatives. As a parent of a child at Warren Road Primary School, Sara is passionate about fostering a school culture that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. She is committed to ensuring that every child is supported to thrive and reach their full potential.

Shereen Wellard(Local Community Governor)
Shereen Wellard
My name is Shereen Wellard and I was appointed parent Governor in July 2022.
In my professional life, I am the Deputy Chief Executive of an education charity focused on social mobility, introducing young people to the world of work and inspiring them to reach their full potential. As well as strategic direction, I oversee services including data management – reporting to the Department of Education, Work Experience and Careers Guidance.
I am passionate about young people's personal and educational progression and how they are supported to recognise their individual qualities whilst achieving their best.
I have one daughter currently at Warren Road Primary School and another who finished in 2022.
I look forward to working with the school community, staff and Governors to ensure we continue to provide excellence for all.
